Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) is a Minnesota Medical Assistance (MA) benefit that helps people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or functional limitations live independently by providing help with daily activities.

Who Qualifies for CFSS

• Must be on Medical Assistance (MA)
• Must need help with at least one activity of daily living or have health-related tasks
• Requires an assessment by a county or tribal public health nurse or certified assessor

Services Include

• Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and other daily needs
• Support with cooking, shopping, managing money, and household tasks
• Health-related procedures and tasks
• Training and supervision of staff (including many family members)
