Assisted Living is a supportive housing option for adults who want to maintain independence while receiving help with daily activities and health-related care. In Minnesota, Assisted Living facilities are licensed by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) to ensure safety, quality, and resident rights.
Who Qualifies for Assisted Living
- Adults age 18 and older (often older adults or seniors)
- Need help with one or more activities of daily living (ADLs)
- May have chronic health conditions, mobility challenges, or cognitive changes
- Must complete an assessment to determine care needs
Services Include
- Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Medication management and health monitoring
- Meal preparation and dining services

- 24-hour on-site staff for safety and support
